Barnardo’s is the leading children’s charity in the UK. There are 415 projects working with over 100,000 children, young people and their families every year - helping some of the most vulnerable children believe in themselves, and putting them on the path to a better future.
The range of work is vast. Barnardo’s supports children and young people who are growing up in very difficult circumstances - coping with poverty, family illness, parental alcohol misuse, homelessness, disability and bereavement. No matter where they live, or what they have been through, Barnardo’s helps every child turn their life around.
Barnardo’s Child Sponsorship is the only programme of its kind in the UK (we think!). It is a wonderful chance for sponsors to make a special commitment to helping vulnerable children and young people, close to home.
In return, the sponsors can follow the progress of their sponsored child or young person on their own personalised website. They’ll get updates from the child and their project worker, giving them a real, and unique, insight into how their gifts are making a difference.
It's only £15 a month to help some of the most vulnerable children in the UK have a better life. That's only 50p a day - that's nothing to us but it would mean everything to them.
